It is an art for sure! Applying and applications of cosmetics are an art form definitely. The art of applying cosmetics rightfully is something that can be taught via many a means, today, there is the internet offering to teach these tact’s and methods to a person, such as this website and this very article, and there are many classes and sessions one can take up with cosmetic centres and private sessions as well.
When one attends a party, it is essential that it looks as though the woman in question is not wearing make up at all. The key to a great cosmetic application is that it does not look like anything is applied at all on the skin. That is the beauty of a wonderful artist when it comes to the artistic ways in cosmetic and make up applications. For instance, for one to look as if she is not wearing make up at all, it is important for her to know how to apply the basic properly and with care. For instance, the foundation or the base has to be applied with a sponge and the remaining residue must be wiped off with a tissue. This will avoid a cakey look for face. Also, the foundation should ideally be mixed with a tad bit of cream or lotion for the effect to be less intense and for the face to be more naturally covered and made up. A blush should be light and not to dark for the skin. If there is a dark colour, then it should be lightly brushed onto the cheeks of skin. A bronzer is a wonderful new mechanism to have a slightly dusted with bronze look for the features to stand out as well as for the face to be more defined and feel bronzed. Bronzers are available in a few colours and shaded, like light gold, pinks and more. Light gold suits Asian skin the best, in my opinion. Try MAC for the same. Try a lip liner to outline lips and then fill up a light shad of nude, brown or pink (or then experiment with colours that are different and not run off the mill), and top it up with a gloss of either no colour – otherwise called transparent or a light one that matches the matte lipstick shade. Eyes should be defined with a Kohl stick which looks natural. And eye liner should be subtle and not too darkly applied for sure. Go easy on the Mascara or don’t wear any if you don’t wish to and this would be ideal or the eyes.
Eye shadows are available from brands like Revlon, MAC and every other conceivable brand in cosmetics that there is in the world. Try Dior for Mascara colours and try the L’Oreal range of eye shadows and eye liners. But preferably line your lower lids and eyes with a Kajal pencil, also available in Shahnaz Hussain cosmetic ranges and from L’Oreal, Chambor and many more.
